INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE ORGANIZATION (IBO)

The International Baccalaureate Organization is a non-profit educational foundation founded in 1968. It collaborates with schools, governments and international organizations to create and develop demanding international education programmes and strict assessment methods, encouraging students all over the world to adopt an active learning attitude throughout their lives.

LATIN AMERICAN HEADS’ CONFERENCE (LAHC)

his is an Association of Heads of British Schools in Latin America which provide an excellent education and opportunities for students and reflect the ideology of the British system. Matters of common interest are discussed at annual Heads’ Conferences, ideas are exchanged and experiences are shared. Teachers and pupils also benefit from this alliance, as they also attend annual conferences.

ROUND SQUARE

Round Square is a world-wide association of more than 180 Global Member schools on six continents sharing unique and ambitious goals. San Silvestre was accepted as a Round Square Candidate school in December 2017. Students attending Round Square schools make a strong commitment, beyond academic excellence, to personal development and responsibility. This is achieved by participating in community service, work projects, exchange programmes and adventuring, which can, and often does, take students half way around the world.

The Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a youth awards programme founded in the United Kingdom in 1956 that recognises adolescents and young adults for completing a series of self-improvement exercises. The Award is available to all 14-24 year olds and is the world’s leading youth achievement award. It equips young people for life regardless of their background, culture, physical ability, skills and interests. Doing the Award is a personal challenge and not a competition against others; it pushes young people to their personal limits and recognises their achievements.

National Alliances

ASOCIACIÓN DE COLEGIOS PRIVADOS DE ASOCIACIONES CULTURALES (ADCA)

ADCA is an association of Peruvian educational institutes linked to foreign governments and/or communities, which promotes integration and mutual assistance amongst its members, the exchange of experiences and the development of cultural and sporting activities geared towards promoting values and encouraging students to demonstrate their own talents and to respect the talents of others.

RED DE EXCELENCIA

An agreement signed with the French Embassy in Peru. Its purpose is to establish a formal relationship of cooperation between both institutions. Under this agreement, the French Embassy is committed to organising regular pedagogic meetings, coordinating various activities with our French Department, planning training seminars for teachers and other interesting activities.
