Our semi presential starts 50% of students per day learning at home, via Zoom, and 50% students in school learning presencially with the teacher or TA depending on the week.
25% will come in the morning and the other 25% will come in the afternoon. This will be every day except for the day they have specialists.
We will work with the capacity of children which has been given to us by la Resolución Ministerial.
The semi presential model consists of coming to school for 3 hours twice a week and working online. All children will have the opportunity to work with their teacher and teaching assistant under both systems.
If a teacher/ teaching assistant cannot come into school because they are medically ‘vulnerable’ , the lesson will be led by the vulnerable staff at home, online, and the other member of staff in school.
Wherever possible students will stay in their rooms - (possible exceptions are Art, Drama, Areas or gross motor skills). Teachers will accompany them as usual.
All room capacities have been defined according to safety protocols.
Materials / resources should be limited as much as possible due to infection.
The door will open at 7:50 a.m. for Pre-School, Reception and Grade 1 for the first shift and 11:50 pm for the second shift.
Nursery children will come in at 8:15 a.m. or at 12:15 p.m.
There will be time for snack, play and toilet breaks.
The exit time will be at 11:00 a.m. for the first shift and 3:00 pm for the second shift
We are not promoting carpools as we need to follow all the Biosecurity protocols.
The Nursery team has divided the day between Morning meetings, outdoor, class or patio activities. Children will eat their snack in the classroom in their designated areas, Break and toilet time have been allocated at different times so that each group does not cross over. They will not use any common areas for the time being as they want to minimize any cross-contamination and infection.

The Reception team has divided the day, maximising their time to ensure the children cover specific areas of the curriculum such as Literacy (phonics and reading), Maths, Social Studies and Talk 4 Writing. They will have specific times for a break, toilet and snack, ensuring no cross over with each team. These times are divided into three sets of 10 minutes each. Although this will not start immediately the Reception team have planned in using some common areas where larger groups of children can gather, such as the canteen and the art room on the second floor.
Grade 1 will work on a similar timetable to Reception, and they will cover specific areas of the curriculum such as Reading, Talk for Writing, Maths, Social Studies, etc. Times have been allocated for snack and playtime. Like the other year groups, they are divided into different slots to ensure no cross over or contamination. Lessons will be 30 minutes each. Grade 1 has the advantage of using their patio space as an outside area for the children. Although this will not start immediately, the G1 team have planned in using some common areas where larger groups of children can gather, such as the canteen and the art room on the second floor.
